Is there a free trial of Ongoing Forge?
Yes. You can create an account and set up your item records, locations and first receiving entries before paying anything. No credit card is required to start.
What counts as a plant?
A plant is one physical facility. Locations inside that facility — a stockroom, a heat treat line, a machining bay — are unlimited and are how material is tracked as it moves through the shop.
Can I move my existing inventory data into Ongoing Forge?
Yes. Item records, grades, bar sizes, suppliers and opening stock balances can be loaded during setup, so you start from your real on-hand quantities rather than from zero.
Does Ongoing Forge store mill test reports or material certificates?
No. Ongoing Forge records the heat number, test report number and QC result against each receiving line, and traces that heat through every production stage, but it does not store or generate certificate documents themselves.
