How your records are protected

What the software does today to keep your heat and stock records private and intact. Everything here describes shipped behaviour. If you need something that is not listed, ask us.

Two-factor sign-in

Any user can turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app (time-based one-time codes, TOTP). Once it is on, signing in needs the code as well as the password.

Separation between customers

Every record — items, heat numbers, stock movements, documents — belongs to one organization, and the application only reads and writes the records of the organization you are signed in to.

Mill certificates

The mill certificate you upload for a heat (PDF, JPG or PNG) is kept in private storage with no public URL. It is downloaded through the application, and only by users of the organization that uploaded it.

Getting your data out

Heat numbers, with mill, country of melt, country of pour, grade and supplier, can be exported to CSV. Every report also has a print view.

Controlled changes to stock

Stock moves only when an entry is posted, never when a draft is saved. Posted entries are stamped with who posted them and when, and every movement is written to an append-only ledger.
