What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and company name. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash and is never readable by us. If you enable two-factor authentication we store the shared secret and recovery codes needed to verify your codes.

When you use the product we store the business records you enter — item records, suppliers and customers, locations, and the production and inventory transactions your team posts. This data belongs to you.

Our servers keep standard request logs, which include IP address, browser user agent and the pages requested.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the service: authenticating you, isolating your organization's data from every other organization, sending transactional email such as email verification and password resets, and providing support when you ask for it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share your business records with third parties except where required to operate the service or comply with the law.

Cookies

We set a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF token cookie to protect form submissions. Both are strictly necessary for the service to function. We also store small preference cookies for interface appearance and sidebar state.

Data retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, contact us and we will delete or return your data. Request logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Each organization's records are isolated at the application layer, and two-factor authentication is available on every account. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask us to export your business data. Contact us at sales@ongoingforge.com and we will respond.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and notify account holders by email.
